Free overnight accommodation (for ultracycling participants)
Our basecamp is located in the Sportpalast Bad Waldsee – with changing rooms, toilets and free sleeping facilities in course rooms on approximately 3,000 m².
Please bring your own sleeping bag and other sleeping equipment.
Quiet pitches are available for campers.
Alternatively, you can book accommodation in numerous hotels, guesthouses and holiday apartments in and around Bad Waldsee.
Park
There are plenty of parking options in Bad Waldsee.
By bike you can reach the start/finish area in the old town from anywhere in just a few minutes.
Details and maps will follow shortly.When will the final routes be published?
The routes have already been scouted; individual details are still being optimized.
You can find an overview map under the "Routes" tab.
The detailed routes will be unlocked on Komoot in the spring.
You will receive the final GPX track approximately three weeks before the event.At Allgäu & Spätzle, you decide whether you approach it as an adventure or a race – with us, the experience is what counts!
The adventure will start earlier to allow more time to cross the finish line on Saturday with smiles, applause, and hugs.
Racers shouldn't sign up for the Adventure mode to have the maximum experience at the finish – otherwise you'll arrive at the party too early 😉
Classification / Guidelines:

KING SIZE Road: up to 32 hours = Race, from 32 hours = Adventure

BIG SIZE Road: until 4 p.m. = Race, from 4 p.m. = Adventure

KING SIZE Gravel: up to 27 hours = Race, from 27 hours = Adventure
If you are unsure, feel free to ask us – we will help you to classify it correctly.

We will remain on site even after Saturday at 11:59 pm – because we want to see finishers' happiness!
If you arrive on Sunday around 9:00 am, we will welcome you at the Sportpalast Bad Waldsee.
There you will be greeted with cheers, applause and a finisher's breakfast.

What does "self-supported" mean?
During the race you are completely independent (100% unsupported).
You may use all publicly accessible services that are open to all participants – e.g. discount stores, restaurants, petrol stations or hotels.
Not allowed: Private or organized help, for example from friends or family. Overnight stays at friends' houses are also not permitted, so that the same conditions apply to everyone.
Accommodation during the race
If you wish, you can book a room in advance.
Please ensure that if you deviate from the route, you rejoin the race at the same point to maintain the spirit of fair play.
Are there inspectors along the route?
Yes – there are visible and invisible controllers who ensure a fair process.
They are entitled to inspect in accordance with the regulations and to take appropriate measures in the event of rule violations.
Pair category
There is a pairs category. Pairs act as a unit – they are allowed to share food, equipment and information and to ride in each other's slipstream.
External support remains excluded for couples as well.You can find the exact specifications in the Bike Guide – here's a brief overview:

Helmets and roadworthy bicycles are required.

Mandatory equipment at night: lights, reflectors, possibly a high-visibility vest.

Allowed: Road bike, gravel bike, MTB or touring/city bike (without motor).
-
Not allowed: E-bikes, pedelecs or other external drive systems.

For the Gravel KING route, we recommend a minimum tire width of 35 mm.
Bike check: A mandatory safety check takes place before the start.

Saturday: Our sister event – the Bad Waldsee cycling marathon (~500 participants) + Sustainability Day with exhibitors

How can I follow the race?
The race is professionally tracked in real time via Follow My Challenge.
The link to live tracking will follow in good time before the event.
Tracker deposit & refund (€150)
A deposit of €150 is required for the Follow My Challenge tracker.
This will be refunded immediately once Follow My Challenge has confirmed receipt and condition of the trackers.
Refunds are usually issued within one to two weeks after the event.refund
A refund of the entry fee is not possible according to the terms and conditions of participation.
We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance (link in the registration process).This event would not be possible without volunteers!

Do you want to experience Allgäu and Spätzle together?
During the registration process, simply activate the "Pair" button, enter your team name and complete both sets of data.
You ride as a team unit, are allowed to share equipment, food and slipstream – but remain self-supported like everyone else (no external support).
💰 Price: Two starting places minus €30.
You will see the exact prices during the registration process.
