Terms and conditions of participation – Allgäu & Spätzle Ultracycling
1. Participation is at your own risk
Participation is at your own risk and responsibility. The organizer is liable for damages only in cases of intent or gross negligence, as well as in cases of injury to life, body, or health, in accordance with statutory regulations.
2. Unsupported Event
The event is unsupported: no support vehicles, no pre-arranged external supplies or support.
Only the use of publicly accessible infrastructure (e.g., petrol stations, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants) is permitted.
Friendly assistance from residents (e.g., water) is permitted – the basic principle remains:
no organized external support.
3. Road Traffic Regulations (StVO)
The event takes place on public roads and paths – partly also on sections of the route in Austria.
All participants agree to comply with the applicable traffic regulations and to drive defensively, considerately and at all times.

4. Equipment & Bike Check
For ultracycling distances – mandatory equipment:

Two functioning front lights (white)

Two functioning taillights (red)

Reflectors/reflective surfaces must meet at least the requirements applicable in Germany (StVZO) or equivalent according to Austrian StVO.

High-visibility vest or reflective belt is mandatory from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM and in poor visibility or darkness.

GPS device and mobile phone with active SIM card (required availability)

Technical inspection (bike check) before the start
Note: On the Austrian section of the route, the rules of the Austrian Road Traffic Regulations apply. Reflectors on the fork, rear triangle, wheels and cranks are strongly recommended.
5. Disclaimer
The organizer accepts no liability for damages in connection with participation, arrival/departure, theft, equipment damage, or health problems – except in cases of intent or gross negligence, or in the event of injury to life, body, or health. This also applies to agents and subcontractors.
6. Insurance
Liability, accident and travel cancellation insurance is recommended.
A refund of the entry fee is excluded in case of cancellation, no-show or withdrawal.
7. Withdrawal / Cancellation

No right of withdrawal: In the case of date-specific leisure events, there is generally no right of withdrawal according to § 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB.

After online registration, participants will receive a confirmation email with payment information.

Registration is only binding after timely and complete receipt of payment.

In the event of cancellation of the event (e.g. due to force majeure), a pro rata refund will be issued, less any non-refundable costs already incurred.
7. Withdrawal / Cancellation

No right of withdrawal: In the case of date-specific leisure events, there is generally no right of withdrawal according to § 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB.

8. Photos, Videos & Tracking Data
By registering, participants agree that photo, video, audio and, if applicable, GPS tracking data created during the event may be used by the organizer and its partners for documentation and advertising purposes (e.g. website, social media, PR, reporting).
There is no entitlement to compensation.
Legal basis: Contract performance (Art. 6 para. 1 b GDPR) and legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR).
You can object to the use of your data for advertising purposes at any time.
9. Minimum age
Participation is open to those aged 18 and over.
10. Place of jurisdiction
German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Bad Waldsee, to the extent permitted by law.
For consumers, the mandatory places of jurisdiction are those at their place of residence.
